This is God’s will group with a total of 25 members who are dedicated to farming as a means of sustainable development in Arua. Membership is comprised of refugees from South Sudan looking for sustainable livelihood and food security as well as household income improvement. “We are lucky enough to have received Cash grant worth UGX.600, 000/=from Caritas Uganda to start our own income generating schemes.” Chairperson narrates.

The group hired 5 acres of land from the neighbouring host community in Romogi sub-County at Ugx.150, 000/= as a farmland for production of soya bean for income generating. Out of the 5 acres of land planted, 700kgs of soya beans were harvested, partly sold to a worth of Ugx.300,000/=.

Farming has made us more united due to support from Caritas. We have been able to conduct village saving loan association schemes. Individuals are in position to borrow loans from group savings to do individual business.

We are so grateful to Caritas Uganda and our donors for the support. Please extend the same support to other groups as well.
