Caritas Kampala

Caritas Kampala is the socioeconomic development arm of the Archdiocese of Kampala, affiliated with Caritas Uganda and Caritas Internationalis, sharing common Catholic social teaching and a rights based approach to development. The organization has 27 employees distributed among different projects and departments, working to improve the quality of life for communities and individuals within Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi and Butambala districts. Caritas MADDO (Masaka)

Caritas MADDO (Masaka Diocesan Development Organisation) is a faith-based organization offering social services and development work in Masaka Diocese. It was started way back after the 1979 war with relief items to war victims. The offices were established in 1981. In 1988 MADDO was expounded to include development work besides social services with more technical staff. This same year (1988) it picked the name MADDO which was changed to Caritas MADDO in 2000 to promote the spirit of giving and receiving as related to love compassion and solidarity. Read more

Caritas Lugazi

Caritas Lugazi is the Social pastoral arm of Lugazi Diocese mandated to design and implement development activities. It aims at improving the social and economic conditions of the people irrespective of their cultures, religious affiliation or political affiliations. The department is inspired by the sacred scripture, tradition, and social teaching of the Catholic Church. Read more

Caritas Kasanaensis

Caritas Kasanaensis is the Social-Pastoral Arm of Kasana-Luweero Diocese, serving in the districts of Luweero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola.

Erected in 1997, Kasana-Luweero Diocese is one of the Catholic dioceses in Uganda, a trustee member of the Ugan-da Catholic Episcopal Conference registered and Certified by the government of Uganda as a Corporate body under the Trustees Incorporation Act. Read more
